First named “Grey Journal”, together with “Grey Text” and “Grey Display”, Ultra Black was conceived as part of “The Grey Press”. It started out as a communal fascination with Stef Cuypers for the handwriting on the headline posters of the London Evening Standard.
↓ MORE INFO ↓To retain it’s analogue qualities, multiple glyphs for each letter were digitized. Using a special Opentype script these appear to be randomly inserted. When typing “HHHH”, each “H” will be different from the next.
